Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

MyTron Labs (“MyTron Labs”, “we”, “us”, “our”) builds egocentric, multimodal datasets for robotics, wearable AI and embodied intelligence. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to

  • our website www.mytronlabs.com, including the sign-up, login and dashboard pages
  • contributors who join our platform to record and submit data
  • clients, research partners and businesses who contact or work with us
  • people who apply for jobs with us
  • anyone who reaches us through our ads, WhatsApp, email or social media

By using our website or services, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Information we collect

Recordings may sometimes capture your face or voice, other people, private spaces or personal items. Please follow our recording guidelines (Section 6) to keep this to a minimum.

a) Information you give us directly

  • Account and sign-up details: your name, email address, mobile number, country and the type of device you record with. You create a password, which we store only as an irreversible cryptographic hash — we never see or keep the password itself.
  • Profile details: your state and city, added after sign-up so we can administer payments and tax correctly.
  • Identity verification (India only): PAN and Aadhaar numbers, collected so we can verify contributors and meet Indian tax and payment rules. Both are encrypted at rest. We do not ask for more identification than we need, and contributors outside India are not asked for these.
  • Payment details: the payout method you choose and the details it needs — UPI ID, bank account details, PayPal email, Wise email or AirTM tag. These are encrypted at rest and used only to pay you for approved work.
  • Recording account emails: the email addresses you record under in the recording app. We use these solely to match recorded hours back to your account so you get paid for them.
  • Referral information: if you tell us that another contributor referred you, we record who they are. If you refer someone else, we record that too, so referral rewards can be calculated.
  • Enquiries and communication: messages you send us through our contact form, email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Meta (Facebook/Instagram).
  • Job applications: your CV, work history, portfolio links and anything else you choose to share with us.

b) Recordings you make as a contributor

As a contributor you record first-person (egocentric) video, audio and sensor data. This can include:

  • video of your surroundings, your hands and the objects you handle
  • your voice and other sounds picked up during recording
  • device sensor data such as IMU, depth or LiDAR readings
  • timestamps, device information and, where a task needs it, approximate location
  • Important: we only receive and store this recorded data for tasks recorded on devices we provide. For tasks recorded in a partner's app, the recording goes to that company and we never hold it — see Section 4.

c) Information collected automatically

When you visit our website we may collect your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent and the referring page, along with cookie and similar tracking data (see Section 9). When you log in, we store a sign-in token in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in — it is readable only by our own site and you can clear it at any time by logging out or clearing your browser data.

d) Information from third parties

  • Advertising platforms: if you respond to our ads on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or WhatsApp, we receive the details you share, such as your name, phone number and city.
  • Recording partners: for tasks recorded in a partner's app, that company sends us a report of the hours recorded against each registered recording email, so we can pay you. We receive the hours, never the footage.
  • Service providers: payment status from payment partners, and verification results from ID-check partners.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • create and manage your account
  • assign recording tasks, review submissions and run quality checks
  • match recorded hours to your account and pay you for work that passes review
  • verify identity, prevent fraud and stop duplicate or fake accounts
  • build, process, annotate and deliver datasets to our clients and research partners
  • calculate and pay referral rewards
  • respond to enquiries, partnership requests and job applications
  • send task, payment and service updates by email or WhatsApp
  • improve our website, recruitment campaigns and services
  • meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your contact, identity or payment details to anyone.

4. How contributor recordings are used

This section matters most if you are a contributor.

There are two kinds of recording task, and who holds your footage is different in each. The task itself tells you which one you are doing, so check before you start.

a) Tasks recorded in a partner's app

For some tasks you record inside another company's app, using an organisation code we give you. The task tells you which app to use. For these tasks:

  • your recording goes directly to that company. They control it and have full access to it.
  • we never receive, access or store the video, audio or sensor data. We cannot retrieve, delete or deliver it, because we never hold it.
  • we receive only a report of the hours recorded against each registered recording email. That report is what we use to calculate and pay your earnings.
  • that company is the controller of the recording itself, and its own privacy policy governs what happens to it. Please read their policy before you start recording.
  • what we hold for these tasks is your account, your registered recording emails, your hours and your payment records — covered by the rest of this policy.

b) Tasks recorded on devices we provide

For other tasks we provide the recording device and we collect and store the recordings ourselves. For these tasks we are the controller, and the following applies:

  • Purpose: approved recordings become part of datasets used to train and test AI systems, including robotics, wearable AI and computer vision models.
  • Who receives them: datasets may be licensed or delivered to our clients and research partners, in India or other countries.
  • What we remove: before delivery we separate your recordings from your contact, identity and payment details, and we blur faces, number plates, screens and other identifying content.
  • Rights in recordings: by submitting a recording you grant us the right to use, process and license it for the purposes described above. The consent, data and payment commitments we make to every contributor are set out on our Trust & Safety page.

Your consent, either way

Before you record, we ask for your clear consent to the uses that apply to your task, and you can withdraw it at any time (Section 11). Withdrawing consent stops future use, but it has limits:

  • for tasks recorded in a partner's app, a request to delete the footage has to go to that company — we have no copy to delete.
  • for recordings we hold, once one has been processed, anonymised and delivered inside a dataset, it may not be possible to retrieve it from clients who already have it.

5. Legal basis for processing

We process personal data based on:

  • Your consent: for example, for contributor recordings and marketing messages.
  • Contract: to run your account and pay you.
  • Legal obligation: for tax, payment and regulatory records.
  • Legitimate uses permitted by law: such as security and fraud prevention.

6. Recording guidelines: protecting other people

When you record for MyTron Labs, you agree to:

  • record only in places where you have the right to record
  • get permission from anyone who clearly appears or is heard in your recording, or avoid recording them
  • not record children, unless a task specifically allows it and a parent or guardian has given written consent
  • not capture passwords, bank cards, ID documents, medical records or screens showing private information
  • not record in bathrooms, changing rooms, hospitals, places of worship or other sensitive locations
  • stop recording if anyone asks you to

We may reject, delete or blur any recording that breaks these rules. Repeated violations can lead to account suspension.

7. Who we share information with

We share information only when it is needed:

  • Clients and research partners: processed, de-identified datasets, under contracts that restrict how they may use the data.
  • Service providers: cloud hosting and storage, annotation partners, payment processors, ID verification, analytics, and email and WhatsApp messaging providers. They process data only on our instructions.
  • Advertising platforms: such as Meta, Google and LinkedIn, to run and measure our contributor recruitment campaigns.
  • Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, court orders or government requests, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
  • Business transfers: if MyTron Labs is merged, acquired or sells its assets, your data may move to the new owner under this same policy.

8. International transfers

Our contributors, clients, partners and service providers are located in several countries, so your data may be transferred internationally. When we transfer data out of India we follow applicable Indian law, including any restrictions under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. For data originating in the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • understand how visitors use our website, through Google Analytics
  • measure the performance of our recruitment ads, through the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

10. Data security

We protect data using:

  • encryption in transit, and encryption at rest for payment details, PAN and Aadhaar numbers
  • passwords stored only as irreversible hashes, never in a readable form
  • role-based access controls, so only authorised staff can see data, with the most sensitive exports limited to a single super-admin account
  • audit logs and monitoring
  • secure cloud infrastructure

No system is 100% secure. If a data breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data — you can edit most of your profile yourself from your dashboard
  • request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing us
  • withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated (under the DPDP Act)
  • raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if it is not resolved
  • if you are in the EEA or UK, object to or restrict processing, ask for data portability, and complain to your local supervisory authority

To make a request, email aditya@mytronlabs.com. We will reply within 30 days.

12. How long we keep data

  • Account and contact details: while your account is active, plus up to 12 months after closure.
  • Payment and tax records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually 8 years in India.
  • Rejected raw recordings: deleted within 90 days of rejection. This covers recordings we hold ourselves; footage recorded in a partner's app is kept under that company's own retention rules, not ours.
  • Processed, de-identified datasets: kept as long as needed for the dataset's purpose. Once a dataset has been anonymised it is no longer personal data and is not deleted with your account.
  • Job applications: up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

13. Children

Our contributor programme is only for people aged 18 and above, and you must be 18 or over to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.

14. Grievance Officer

In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can contact our Grievance Officer about any privacy concern:

Name
Aditya Gupta
Designation
Co-Founder
Address
C/O Patel Ushaben, Sheetal Shopping Center, Palanpur, Banaskantha 385001, Gujarat, India

We will acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.

15. Third-party links

Our website may link to other sites, such as LinkedIn or the App Store. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. For significant changes, we will notify contributors by email or WhatsApp.

17. Contact us

If you have a question about this policy or about how we handle your data, email us and a person will reply.
